Rajkot : The 3rd test match of the ongoing 5 match test series between India and touring team England started from today at Niranjan Shah Cricket stadium in Rajkot. Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first.

England XI – B Stokes (c), Z Crawley, B Duckett, O Pope, J Root, J Bairstow, B Foakes (wk), R Ahmed, T Hartley, M Wood, J Anderson
Batting first India lost 3 quick wickets as Yashasvi Jaiswal (10), Shubman Gill (0) & Rajat Patidar (5) got out leaving India at 33/3.
Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja played some careful cricket after that, which resulted in Rohit Sharma & Ravindra Jadeja hitting centuries on Day 1.
Debutant Sarfaraz Khan played a crucial knock of 62 runs before getting run out unfortunately.
India’s score was 326/5 at the end of play of Day 1 of 3rd Test.
